Calendar Page Demonstration

OVERVIEW

In addition to all of the existing calendar functionality, Active CMS has added recurring event functionality and end-user submission capability to the Calendar Page Type! Recurring events are treated much like they are in Outlook - you can set it for a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly recurrence. You can also configure the Calendar to allow your site audience to submit, edit and delete events, via Workflow, of course. This is especially efficient by eliminating the need for multiple calendars within your site.
Example Use Case Scenario

The use cases for the Calendar are generally very straight forward. Anytime you'd like to post content that is time dependant such as events, press releases, news, meetings and appointments, the Graphical or Non-Graphical Calendar is most likely the best choice.

Calendar events

Calendar events are the only type of child pages to be used with the Calendar. Use of any other page type will corrupt the database.

The event Descriptioninformation will be available to users by clicking on the event link on the calendar. The event information, including times and dates, is displayed on a new page.

Change the date variables to MMM, DDD, DD to also display the day of the week.
